This is a beautiful vintage rare and unusual 7 piece bedroom suite likely made during the 1930s or 40's by the CAVALIER CORPORATION in Chattanooga Tennessee. There are not any mfg markings that I can find. The estate said it is an Art Deco/Art Nouveau reproduction of an early 19th century Biedermeier style by the French Empire.  The wood and ornate design matches exactly another cedar chest I purchased at the same estate sale here in Indianapolis. The cedar chest was made by the CAVALIER CORP of Chattanooga. They were the Mercedes or Cadillac of cedar chests! It has all the original serial numbers and markings on the bottom. I have it for sale in a different listing. The bedroom suite is likely a handmade custom order by the same craftsman at the Cavalier Corp. A very fine combination of different woods, including fine veneers and solid cedar. The design has lots or ornate curves and trim.  The drawers are large with plenty of storage. The entire set looks like it was rarely if ever used. The set was in a guest bedroom at the huge house estate sale where I found it last Spring. It might have a few very minor scuffs, but nothing broken or damaged. All the drawers slide fine, and the mirrors are in fantastic condition. They are ornate beyond description. It has 7 pieces including the 2 ornate mirrors on the long chest and the desk/vanity. The mirrors can be removed. The mattress and boxsprings are NOT included! I am getting ready to remodel, and decided to offer this fantastic suite for sale. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! I will not get involved in shipping.
